Marine Weather Plus by AccuWeather App Reviews

This USED TO BE a great marine weather app. Now it is useless, functionality on iPad destroyed. Doesnt AccuWeather understand that for we who are boaters, marine weather is a LIFE SAFETY ISSUE? I used to rely on Marine Weather Plus. It used to be fast, extremely accurate, and very user friendly. Now its as useless as a third handle on.a chamber pot.

I really like this app however I am very disappointed that I spent $2.99 and it does not allow me to zoom in or rotate when I flip my phone to see a bigger picture of sea surface temps. Can you please fix this???

I think this apt is awesome. It combines data from all the marine/weather sites I use. I can see how others might want it to expand on the NOAA or Rutgers data, but I think that is asking too much for a $3 apt. I also like the new simplified layout with less buttons and only allowing one data option to be mapped. Before, the map was getting too cluttered. Keep up the good work Bluefin!

Im a marine biology student and I couldnt live without this ap! I reccomend it to all my classmates!

For a sailor this app is great. All the info you need at your fingertips. I really care only about the forecast, the tides, a few buoys and sunset. The favorites menu gives me quick access to all of that.

Disappointed Unable to zoom in to see precise sea temperature lines; therefore, app is almost worthless to me.

Instructions sparse and unclear. Does not meet expectations.

Free version was interesting, but seemed pretty basic. Upgraded to the Plus version. Not worth it. Difficult to see the difference between the 2 versions. I tried to use it this morning on my boat in New England. Slow to download screens. Finally just went to the NOAA website (outside of the app) and got the information I needed. This app needs work. Not worth it yet.

App stopped working after a few days. No help fixing the problem. Totally not working or worth the frustration

This app is a must have for all boaters. Works great and is very accurate. It has all the great information from NOAA that boaters need.

I enjoy the waters of the great lakes and wanted an app to tell me what the lakes would be up to daily as they change really fast from calm and skiable to down right scary faster than is safe. The info wasnt enough, nor accurate for what I needed. I found a free app called surfing lakes that has everything this does plus wave size etc, with great visuals and its free. Leave it to the surfers to give it to you honest.

Very useful and reliable. I never go out for the wahoos or mahi mahi without checking first this app.

I cant get anything out of this application and will like my money reimbursed.

This is a terrible app. I wish I was able to get a refund. It will be deleted.

Slow, slow, slow. The version I paid for 6 months ago was better. And if I click on a weather zone why must another window come up that says forecast. Duh...why else would I be clicking on it. Please spend some time tweaking this app!

Doesnt even do what is advertised!!! Very very dissatisfied. Dont waist your hard-earned money.

I wanted buoy data primarily so I started out with the free version. The app was smoother, but often prompted for the upgrade.With the paid version I no longer get the upgrade messages but it operates slowly, sticking as it transitions to layers, or zoom and maps focus. The options it provides beyond bouy data is helpful, like pin pointing sunrise or tidal flow. With some work I see this developing into a daily go-to app!

We use this all the time for forecasted weather.

I check this every weekend before heading out on my sailboat. Works great on my iPad.
